| Adventi management supports ByteNight |

Celebrating its’ 10th anniversary, Byte Night the national charity event supporting Action for Children’s campaign against homelessness in youth has come to Scotland. The event held on 3rd October, saw IT professionals from across Scotland becoming homeless for the night, swapping the warmth of the usual home comforts for the cold and unpleasant experience of being homeless with nowhere to go for an evening.
Eddie Chance, Chief Executive Officer of Adventi, along with his fellow directors Jim Armstrong, William Edwards and Andy Torrance elected to take up the challenge and raise £2,500 to support the charity activities. Commenting on the experience Eddie said, ”Adventi has in recent weeks embarking on a clear policy of embracing Corporate Social and Environmental Responsibility across the workplace. We all find ourselves in fortunate positions, with jobs and homes to go to at the end of the day, this initiative is vitally important not only to remove the plight of homelessness from the streets, but also to protect young people who often find themselves in vulnerable conditions when homeless.” Action for Children meets the needs of the children and young people who most need support to achieve their full potential. Through our work and through speaking out, we seek to break the cycle of deprivation. We challenge injustice and empower children to overcome the obstacles in their lives that hold them back. We tailor our work to local circumstances, in partnership with children and young people, families, communities and local organisations.
Adventi are Scotland’ fastest growing IT services and support company, providing a full range of IT solutions from hardware to professional consulting services to both private and public sector clients. |
