Adventi announces changes to management team and board of directors

Adventi Group, one of Scotland's leading technology and solutions providers has today announced the appointment of William Edwards as its new Chief Financial Officer. William will take up this post on 4th September 2008. Andy Smith the current Finance Director will remain with the company in his current capacity until 31st December.

William joins Adventi from SAIC, a US based science and technology company and large UK outsource provider where he held the position of UK Financial Controller.

Commenting on the appointment, Eddie Chance, Adventi's CEO said, "I am delighted that William has agreed to join the company. William's experiences in managing the finances of a large international company, coupled with his commercial skills will enable us to achieve our ambitious growth plans in the months and years ahead. William will clearly be a major contributor to the management team and I am very much looking forward to working with him."

"I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Andy for his commitment to the business over the past years."

Responding to his appointment, William commented, "This is a fantastic time to be joining an ambitious company, headquartered in Scotland and with very ambitious growth plans. The Adventi Group has demonstrated to me that the strong management team and board of director's focus on prudent fiscal management and aspirations for the future made the decision an easy one."

In addition to the appointment of William, Adventi Group also announces the resignation of Graham Bucknall, founder and Director of Strategy from his executive position within the company, to focus on other business opportunities. From the 1st September Graham moves to a non-executive role on the Adventi board.

"Whilst he will be sadly missed on a day to day basis, I am delighted that that Graham is remaining with the business in a non-executive capacity. His vision when Adventi was created is still very much at the forefront of our business growth plans and we can obviously call on Graham's experience as and when required. "I would like to thank Graham for his contribution to the company and wish him every success in his new ventures" , said Eddie Chance.
